Collective flue system
Metalfire launches a patented innovation on the European residential construction market: multiple designer gas fireplaces on a single central flue system, up to 12 floors high with a maximum of 12 connected units.
Developed in collaboration with Opsinox, this innovative system is exclusively compatible with the Metalfire Avenue and Avenue Plus closed gas fireplaces, and is protected by European patent no. 3933265, published in the European Patent Bulletin of 27.05.2026. The patent is valid across 19 EU member states under the Unitary Patent scheme, and has been separately validated in the United Kingdom.

Centralised design
Where a gas fireplace in an apartment building was once considered a complex challenge, the collaboration between Metalfire and Opsinox now makes it a straightforward option. No complicated plans, no separate flue channels, no hassle: one central flue system for the entire building. Not only does this allow property developers to easily incorporate gas fireplaces into their apartments from now on; a central shaft also saves considerable space compared to multiple individual channels.
A Metalfire gas fireplace then truly becomes the ultimate finishing touch on the design cake. Furthermore, Metalfire is renowned for their bespoke architectural solutions. Thanks to a team of experienced craftsmen, all fireplace concepts are fully customisable to specification. This allows the clientele of property developers, architects and interior designers to align the fireplace design with the aesthetics of their overall project. Plug-and-play installation
The concept works as follows: first, the uniquely developed central flue system by Opsinox is installed, after which each Metalfire closed gas fireplace is connected individually. A kind of plug-and-play installation, as it were. What makes this system unique is that it operates with a single mechanical extraction unit (fan) at the outlet of the central channel, creating a constant negative pressure throughout the entire system. This ensures the correct operation of every Metalfire closed gas fireplace.
The only thing the installer needs to do after placement is set the negative pressure of the flue channel. Unlike comparable systems where each fireplace must be calibrated individually, this single adjustment brings all Metalfire fireplaces ready for use. In addition, each fireplace is isolated from the central system when inactive by an electrically controlled flue gas valve on the individual flue pipe.
The diameter of the central flue channel depends on the situation and is determined based on the number of floors as well as the number of connected gas fireplaces. This system is applicable in apartment buildings of up to 12 floors with a maximum of 12 connected fireplaces.
